About Me

I am a London born, British-Irish native English-speaking graphic designer, video editor & animator now based in Cornwall, UK. I do practically all work remotely, and have worked with businesses & agencies worldwide, both freelance and in-house, from regions including the UK, USA, Spain & Africa, providing a reliable service for clients requiring regular & repeat work.

With an original background working for printers & advertising agencies I since moved into animation, video and motion graphics to provide professional multimedia design work for business advertising and social media. Now with the incorporation of AI generated images and video.

When not working I like keeping fit with mountain-biking & martial arts (if not sparring at my age), hobby photography, reading, history & science. I also follow Formula One and the American NFL. Although now UK based, I lived & worked in Spain for many years and can speak, read & write Spanish and still like taking breaks & holidays there.

Skills:

Video design & editing:

Video editing, design and animation in short or long form formats. Motion graphics & content creation using Premier Pro, CapCut, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & After Effects. Colour correction and grading. Captions & subtitles. Adverts, explainer & 9:16 vertical video, animation in 2D & 3D, corporate & technical presentations for websites, product placement & paid adverts, social media, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram & others. Exhibition and point of sale videos. Incorporation and modification of stock video & AI generated content, music & audio.

Animation:

2D character animation and explainer type video with After Effects. 2D character rigging with Duik Bassel. Incorporation of 3D work. Animated banners & infographics.

AI assisted design and video:

Incorporation of AI generated images and video using a combination of different platforms such as: Leonardo.ai, Stable Diffusion, DALL•E 3, Vmake, Runway and others.

3D:

Modelling and animation with Cinema 4D. Incorporation into After Effects, video & infographics.

Graphic & print design:

Adverts, banners, flyers, brochures, magazines & page layouts with InDesign. PDFs, sign & billboard designs, photo-retouching with Photoshop, illustration work with Adobe Illustrator.

Web design:

Website work in HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap & Wordpress, HTML5 & Gif animations, banners & infographics. Installation of custom made forms. Some knowledge of Wix.

Languages:

English: native speaker educated to British O and A level standard.
Spanish: professional working proficiency: speak/read/write.
French: basic level & currently studying.

Qualifications:

British A Level: Art & English literature.
Richmond Technical College, Twickenham - Diploma in Vocational Graphic Design.
